It all started back in 1990's when the 'ideator' of PRO-D, who had been involved in personality assessment companies, was in Kenya climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. He and his friend were resting at a base camp, smoking cigars and talking about work when he had the brilliant idea to create an assessment that combines  personality, skills and motivators into one assessment. The design of PRO-D was inspired by the observation of leading career theorists Mark Savickas and Robert Lent who believed that multiple dimensions are required to define an individual and the convergence of these dimensions yield the truest portrait of a leader.
